Several miniature chocolates from the receptionist's candy dish - 4, maybe 6, mini Hershey bars (breakfast and lunch), and wine and hors d'oeuvres at a lawyer party (dinner). My bad.

On the plus side, I am almost three weeks into a gluten free diet, and the weight is dropping. No wheat, rye or barley, which means no bread and no pastry, and no beer.

I had been having pain in the gut, and decided to try an elimination diet, which I haven't been able to stick to due to ridiculous work schedule, but doing a good job of avoiding wheat, rye and barley. Gut pain almost gone and also bloating.

Next stop may be avoiding all grains but I am not there yet.

A real dinner awaits, lentil stew with carrots and escarole. And potato vodka.
