Not as much as you have, obviously, otherwise you wouldn't be asking, no?
If you think the more countries you live in makes you a better person, then you're a better person than me.
On the other hand, my stepmother is from China, and now she lives in the US, but she doesn't seem to know as much about the world as I do. She likes to play with her friends. My dad's second wife grew up in Venezuela, but she didn't pay attention to the rest of the world, either. She liked to shop. My first boyfriend was from Argentina, and also lived in Mexico, but he was also rather narrow-minded. He is now a goat farmer. My second boyfriend was from Iran, and narrow-minded is an understatement. My paralegal is from Nigeria, and doesn't give two cents about anything outside her personal life.
My brother in law is from Venezuela, and he's quite interested n the world.
From which I deduce that living in two or more countries does not necessarily broaden one's mind. |
