It's not the (D)'s that are going to be withdrawing in the next year Nadine - it's the (R)'s! They're going to declare "Mission Accomplished" in time for the 2008 elections.

Of course, like every other year in Iraq, it all depends on what the Iraqis do. Even if AQ is "beaten" as you claim (doubtful-probably just laying back), every wannabe Saddam fronting every little militia will go for his shot as we withdraw.
