Mq,

From time to time I dream big and pray hard that Q's MEMS technology results in handset screens that are the cat's meow...an absolute must-have requirement in future handsets in order to be competitive. Q could sell or license this technology (assuming it would not be subject to FRAND commitments)to all of the handset manufacturers except Nokia. Q could explain that over the past few years Nokia had not proven itself to be a reliable partner, unlike its other 145+ licensees. This would make Nokia's handsets less competitive while simultaneously helping LG, Samsung, Sharp and the other Q partners. I'm sure this would help promote competition and would improve slide 18 of Steve Altman's presentation showing that Nokia and Ericsson/SEMC control roughly 50% of the WCDMA handset market as of the first half of 2007. I realize that its just a pipe dream and MEMS phone screens are certainly some years away. But, despite being only a dream, it makes me smile! Brihack
