Very Interesting!

OFF PM TOPIC

EC - I find that when I'm about to catch a cold/flu, my feet start to feel cold, and I feel tired. I take 2 aspirins (to help circulate the blood), and drink a bowl of soup. My wife makes the soup from either a rice base, chicken broth base or miso. She puts an egg along with vegetables.

But the main thing are four key ingredients:
Garlic, onions, cayenne pepper (small red ones) and ginger.

I used to get 2 or 3 colds a year but for the past 10 years, each time I feel I'm coming down with one, I follow the above prescription and haven't been sick except twice in the past 10 years when I didn't have access to her soup.

The soup really gets your circulation going and I believe raises the temperature in the sinus cavities where the cold germs get started. (Drink as spicy hot as you can stand it.)

For diabetes, my wife recommends ampalaya, "bitter melon" a common dish in the Philippines. (Really works for people with this problem.)
