Thank you for your response. Overall, I think PDT is a promising new treatment for cancer and possibly other (AMD?) illnesses. Over the years I have found it frustrating from an investment standpoint, waiting through the long delays in testing and regulatory approvals.

However, if you are patient and find a diamond in the rough, it can be quite profitable.

Something that hasn't been mentioned in this thread is what can happen to smaller companies like QLTIF and others who have developed a promising new technology, and who are subsequently merged or bought up by the larger multinationals. What happens to the stock price then? Do you have any thoughts or are you aware of examples from previous mergers/take-overs?
