I don't know if this thread is interested in something like this but it is an amazing charity concept, the XO notebook. They have a great offer going on now, buy one and they send one to a poor kid in the Third World, all for $400. This notebook does stuff mine won't do. Ok, it runs on Linux but is has 3 sources of power..hand crank, solar, A/C, and lots of other bells and whistles that a hacker could have fun with. Plus,..you might help prevent some poor Islamic kid from becoming a terrorist.
