Ted, > Don't forget he has a black eye. Does that justify life sentences for the offenders? Just as J. Barker didn't deserve to be beaten up for his bragging; the six black guys who did it didn't deserve life prison sentences for the deed IMO. Do you disagree?

Only one of the "Jena 6" has been tried so far, and that guy's charge was already reduced from attempted murder to aggravated assault and battery. That guy also has four prior convictions and was under probation, so I'm not going to complain that the system was stacked against him.

All the others had their charges reduced before the Jena protests began.

Do they deserve life sentences? Heck no. Did the white kid deserve to get beaten up? Probably not, even if he did ask for it. Is this worthy of a new civil rights movement? Yeah, right.
