We all wish that American politics weren’t so bitter and partisan. But if you try to find common ground where none exists — which is the case for many issues today — you end up being played for a fool. And that’s what has just happened to Mr. Obama. I agree with Krugman but the problem is we has so little common ground. I see this thread as a microcosm of what's going on in the country......and the same divisions here, I have seen in other venues. And let's face it.......the only common ground we seem to have on this thread is sports and stocks.
