"To be honest I found Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance tedious. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas I found to be a work of genius" This part I agree with wholeheartedly. The "existential" idea, I'm afraid, just leaves me cold. I'm reminded of the French gnome with the wonky eyes, and I could never imagine him having fun. The 60s were more about hedonism than anything else.
