David,
No doom and gloom here, except that I don't think a contract has been awarded yet. I pulled the accompanying text below off the Department of Commerce's server. It appears to me that what has been announced is a procurement, which is a contract solicitation. If you read it the government believes that Microvision is the only company qualified to respond to the solicitation.
I'm inferring from the text that the bid is due on November 17, 1997 and that we'll hear something about this from the company sometime after that date. This is marvelous news as I've been hoping for something like this for some time. Just the acknowledgement that the government can not locate another company with the capabilities of Microvision is an outstanding validation of what we have believed all along.
I think that much better days are ahead of us and this company.
Stephan
