Maybe they feel guilty for enabling this war.

It's in character to feel guilty about agreeing with the CIA, and the British, French, German and Israeli intelligence agencies, for the one and only reason that they failed to hinder the Bush administration.

But I notice they don't feel guilty about blowing the cover on terrorist tracking programs that were legal, effective and CLASSIFIED, even though many officials of the White House and Congress (both parties) asked them not to. WTF do they care about tracking terrorists? Their real enemy is in the White House.

Much better to feel guilty about "sins" which they couldn't help in the first place, and will have no choice but to repeat if the circumstances repeat. Their real sins against all of us, they feel proud of.
