Hillary would do ANYTHING to win the nomination. Hopefully Obama is learning to neutralize her sneaky tricks:
>Obama on the Clinton 'secret pact of ambition'

LAS VEGAS -- Barack Obama is starting to slip into his speeches a disputed account of a secret 20-year plan for both Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton to win the White House.
“I’m not in this race to fulfill some long-held plan or because it was owed to me,” Obama told a gathering of Nevada Democrats after Thursday night’s Las Vegas debate.
That was a veiled reference to an account by biographers Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta that the Clintons sealed a “secret pact of ambition” to both win the presidency, which has been vehemently denied by Clinton advisers.
Asked if Obama was referring to the pact, a spokeswoman replied: “Barack Obama has not been mapping out his run for president from Washington for the last 20 years like some of his opponents.”

Posted by Mark Silva on November 17, 2007 Of course the two Clintons had a pact. Everybody knows that. Why would a modern American woman not want her freedom from a man who was, as Gerald Ford perceptively saw, "a sex addict?" Was it Wifely devotion? No. Love? Uh, no. Helplessness? Hardly. Hypnotic spell? Uh, uh. And tweren't the bonds of a woman to her pimp. 9 out of 10 intelligent, well educated, well raised, independent woman would have cut loose from big Bill and stretched out on her own to pursue her own dreams. Naw, not Hillary. She is cashing in her chips on the deal she must have made with Billy.
These two are very clever. They see how Americans are absolutely, and intractably divided and learned how to navigate the political waters by playing in the middle. When it is convenient to go left or right they know the best way to paddle. For example, their ability to play the Black card to get many African Americans to simply adore them without really giving up anything tangible is a master stroke. Being able to withstand years of an administration full of scandal and decisions such as NAFTA says more about American's inability to separate fiction from reality than the Clinton's ability to govern.
Obama should emphasize the detriment to this country of being ruled by yet another dynasty family member with mediocre abilities to govern.< |
