The noose was used not only to lynch blacks over the last 150 years, but it was also used to keep blacks from moving into thousands of municipalities around this country. It's meant to scare and intimidate, as in, "If you stay here, you'll be killed." Black people see that, they justifiably feel threatened.

If those white kids beat the black kid up for say, saying that any white kids to stay in town would be killed, then I wouldn't have so much of a problem with the white kids beating up the black kid. Would you?
