Unless you had a really strange degree program, the Bachelor in Economics was not required, but something you chose. "Also I was in no way a singular such event, at least 10% of my fellow students took similar courses because they were ashamed of not understanding the difference between debit and credit." And, again, they chose to take said courses, it wasn't required in their degree program.
