Interesting Read - bankers and call girls have always had very similar business models

It is no coincidence that in every “hostess bar” there will be a disproportionate number of bankers. This is not just because they have larger credit ceilings on their company cards, but because there is also a natural intellectual bond; bankers and call girls have always had very similar business models, which can lead to hours of stimulating debate. As both businesses share the same risks and rewards, discussing alternate strategies must also be valuable.

When Willie Sutton was asked why he robbed banks, he replied “because that’s where the money is”, so bar girls are naturally attracted to bankers because even when fired, their golden farewells are the equivalent to the GDP of a third world country. For it is the role of bankers, and bar hostesses, to cosy up to those who can afford their services but do not need to pay for them, whilst disdaining the penniless wannabe.
