Oops. Not a good day for Freddie and my shares of it.

Very surprised they're having so much difficulty. (And so too were the analysts who predicted this quarter's earnings (lack thereof). I believed FRE had higher underwriting standards that would keep them much more out of the housing foreclosure/loan writedown problems faced by others.

I have only a few shares. Still, my losses are substantial considering from where I started to buy in. One case where averaging down hasn't worked for me. I'll cut my position now. At this time, averaging down anything related to "mortgage" or "loans" has been painful from what I see and have done.

Adding a little to CIT though now as it too drops to new low.
