<He has shown that he cannot work with people, he cannot do hard routine work of the sort that CEOs must do. So leave that to others and do a glory run and try to gather converts will be his only successful role.>

Yeah, I doubt Jobs' long hours stuck in a garage with Woz creating the first Apple computer were very trying. And no doubt all the downsizing and strategic planning he's been doing the last couple weeks is a lot easier than it appears to be. Maybe he doesn't have what it takes to run this company after all.

There are plenty of CEOs out there who're bad with people. The difference is that Jobs is on a mission from God, a crusade. If a few fragile employees get crushed, well, it's all in the name of a higher good: changing the world. Aside from his salary, Steve's dollar investment in Apple is what...$21.75 as of 4:01 p.m. EST 10/9/97? I say, 'here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels.'

And is it just me, or has Ellison been really quiet lately? Something about Ellison and silence just doesn't sit right with me. I think we'd be hearing about it if he wasn't getting what he wanted from his involvement in Apple. Now if we only knew for sure what that is.

If this company can just make it through October, then....

Good luck to all.

Mark
