TeoTwawKi ?
To take a break from Money Rock Hong Kong and leave behind Freedom Mountain Kowloon, the wife and I tried to book the hedonistic Venetian in Liberty Island Macau, but its 3,000+ rooms are fully spoken for, and so, as far as this weekend is concerned, TeoTwawKi is full-on. We must think of some other way to mischief; either that, or just put on sweaters, drink hot cocoa, and read books for one, and play on-line PC games for the other.
Other than the above problem, and my anxious anticipation for delivery of the brand-smoking new private-label liquid-cooled vacuum-effect chilled geewhizbangohwhoaweegollymegawollops Intel twinquadcore 4 gigabyte RAM 1 terabyte Hard Drive array laser-mouse-guided holy-cow extreme game machine. I am keen to try the machine for on-line games such as the ohmygod Unreal Tournament 3 massive last man standing death match and the selling of options and buying of gold.
Oh, yes, back to TeoTwawKi, why worry? Just because …?
- the troops of the empire are proving to be not competent at putting down resistance in Mesopotamia so as to safe guard our way of life,
- the officialdom of the Empire is proving to be a lot of spendthrift wastrels borrowed up to the neck already marked with perforation labeled “rip here to terminate line of credit”
- the premier paper money of the world is no good for paying down debt, marking the import ledger, or savings meant for the golden years now turned to lead
- the electorates are populated with the likes of whom you prefer to not have around
- Pakistan terrorists are being trained by the Empire’s military on your dime to be transformed into minions for ethnic-cleansing
- Oil will soon break into 3-digit territory and with inflation still tame, then camped solidly in the 3-digit territory
- Etc etc etc
Chill. Relax. Everything is as it ought to be, as expected, and so TeoTwawKi is a NToeAwsBe (Natural Trade, Obvious Exchange, Apparent Wager, Sure Bet).
Recommendation: put cash into stuff with your name on it, accumulate gold, invest in the future of the Empire – buy Proshare Ultra Short Financial, and prepare to watch the torch-carrying crowds on the TV as they converge at hassled banks, tattered brokerages, choked-full no-bid sell-only secondhand car dealers, delinquent insurance companies, ransacked neighborhoods, flamed internet chat rooms, Washingtom Mall, and gold coin dealers.
Whatever is starting to happen is much worse than even I had imagined it, and nothing can be done except to observe, take notes, and make sure kids three generations from now do not fall prey to the revisionists such as the likes of Charlatan Ben Helicopter BurnAndKaput and our very own CB Ilaine with her 'debt does not matter' chant circa 2001.
