Reinforcing its leadership and value position in the home PC market place, Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ) announced that it has become the number one provider of home PCs in America at retail, according to the latest data from Audits & Surveys Worldwide, a leading market research firm.
For July and August, Compaq held the number one position at U.S. retail with 22.9 percent and 36.1 percent marketshare, respectively.
