[ XCL Chart ]
Ray, I stand corrected. I mistook what now looks like a spinning top, for a doji star. Now I can understand you calling it a Harami but how does one differentiate between the harami and the spinning top...is it just a matter of where it's located...within or out of prior candle?
BBBUUUTTT, after all those maruboz(i) or (us),three dragonfly dojis, doesn't the hammer signify a bullish trend followed by the large white candle. And if the harami is bearish then doesn't the dragonfly doji indicate a reversal of that bearish harami. AAAHHHH....I see what you're saying, the chart keeps contradicting itself so one must wait for a more obvious trend.
Re: NSIX ...I tried to buy some today @ 4 3/4 but I didn't get filled. I'll try again tomorrow ...oops..today. I see the handle but I was wondering if that can be considered a cup since there isn't much of a rim on the left side. I take it that the inverted hammer is meaningless since we are in an uptrend rather than down. What's the STO telling you. It looks like it has turned down.
Ray, I'm just learning how to read the candles but I don't have any knowledge of or programs regarding moving averages,SAR,etc. When I get good at the candles and patterns I'll start to study Bollinger bands, M/A's,etc. Until I figure that out, I need to rely on you and others. Hope you don't mind.
I took a position in EXSO today based on T/A by you and others and F/A found inYahoo! Let me know if you see anything negative in case I miss it with the candles.
FWIW, As I'm writing you, I just heard on CNNFN that Syquest is about to announce a new removable or portable drive that will hold one gigabyte and retail for $200 with disks costing $33 each. The stock broke $4 today on heavy volume. I'm gunna check it out on the charts and consider buying on open.maybe I should short IOM.
Thanks for the help....happy investing, NEPF |
