Really glad you liked that. That scat number is terrific too, the interplay with Lionel Hampton is a great example of her playfulness and wit as a singer. She can scat right up there with Ella! Maybe better....?

She changed her surname from Colton to O'Day, pig Latin for "dough," slang for money.

LOL, that's great! :-)

I posted her obituary when she died last year.
