Why do I need to quote Lindzen on the LIA and MWP. Because you quote Lindzen as an example of a reputable scientist (MIT prof no less) and you love to bash the hockey stick as not showing either the LIA or the MWP. The hockey stick is a global reconstruction, not a northern hemisphere or european reconstruction. So why not see what Lindzen says on the subject in a direct and clear manner. Does he say that both the LIA and the MWP should show up strongly in global reconstructions? I'm interested. What I've found is that Lindzen is very careful not to actually say much that can be pinned against him, so I doubt you will find such statements, or if you do, they will have some Delphic Oracle language in them. You should pay attention to such issues in your heros.
