If he did lie and i dont think thats clear yet, didnt FDR lie along the way to get us into WW2? If this war proved that saddam was a critical and imminent threat, we would just let this slide. This is more about the false premises for the war and the rummy lack of performance in fighting it to a successful conclusion, assuming that was possible. Those of us who admire FDR know very well that he took sides early on and played with the truth to get the american public ready.
