Bush's deficits are MUCH bigger than 4 trillion. They've used Enron accounting to hide them, as the USA Today article showed. The actual Bush deficits including the Iraq costs, interest and sky-high energy prices, are 12-15 trillion. The cost of the debacle in Iraq alone is well over a trillion. And now, as the economy sinks, tax revenues will drop while spending keeps rising and a lot of noxious countries like China and Saudi Arabia will own our asses the way the Japanese did in the 80's.

The whole Bush rightwing plan was to "starve the beast", that is, loot the public wealth to such an extent that it will be impossible to provide the people with any badly-needed social programs and the privateering corporate pirates will take over, gouging us from all fronts and further depleting our nation's financial health.

All this after Clinton left things ins near perfect condition.
