Reagan wanted to cut the school lunch program, calling ketchup a vegetable

What does that have to do with racism. Besides ketchup is made of tomatoes and is more likely to be eaten by kids than brussels sprouts, say.

LOL. You don't have a clue, do you? First of all, ketchup is loaded with sugar in addition to whatever tomatoes have been included.....hardly the nutritional reason for eating vegetables. Secondly, its the poor who mostly use the school lunch program. In many poor families, its the only real meal the kids have all day.....so suggesting that ketchup be treated as a vegetable is the Reagan equivalent of telling them to eat cake. And surprise, surprise........minorities make up a disportionate percentage of the poor.

What's amazing.....is that you had to have this explained to you. What kind of people are you? Are you so self absorbed that you don't realize how difficult it is to survive in this country esp. when you are poor? Begrudging them decent vegetables is got to be some kind of venal sin even when committed by 'Saint' Reagan.
