With respect, your numbers are all out of whack kormac.

It will take PBR many years of appraisal & delineation drilling, seismic study and field evaluation, development drilling and infrastructure roll-out before they get to actually producing significant oil from this new field.
A significant amount would be 250,000 bbls/day initially and who knows, perhaps 2 million bbls/day at its peak.

If this field is as big as they say (a big IF!), and it can deliver 5 billion barrels in total, it will take PBR 50 years to produce such a quantity of oil.

Don't get me wrong, this would be a good thing for all involved, except perhaps the Greenpeace types who protest against the very thing that fuels their campaigns. :-p
It will offset some of the declines in Saudi and Mexico at best.
