Miachael;

I did not igor the information on FDR - I never read it. As I said I have no interest in arguing this. To suggest what Bush did was okay because other presidents lied is a sick way to look at things. Do you also excuse Clinton for his lies? I don't.

Not sure why you want me to "eludidate"(sic) on Norway and Chamberlain - but will be happy to explain some history to you. The situation in Scandinavia in 1939 - 1940 is very important to WWII as it is where the war started before moving into Belgian, and France. That no country helped Finland in the aggression against it by Russia - eventually made Finland an alley of Germany. That the tiny Finland was not helped was sad - that Norway was not helped by Chamberlain is criminal. As you likely know Norway was invaded by Germany early in 1940. This despite Norway's proclamation of neutrality (like Sweden who managed to stay neutral). The British however placed mines in Norwegian territorial waters and invaded a German ship carrying British prisoners. The Germans thus were able to have an excuse to invade - and they did. The Norwegians decide to fight rather than give up because they had assurances from Chamberlain government (and France) that they would help the Norwegians. Had they properly done so, the Germans might have been bogged down in Norway. Instead Chamberlain screwed this up - sent troops, but almost as soon as they arrived they abandoned Norway and left the Norwegians to a most unfortunate fate. The sad part is that much of Norway was leveled - because the British did invade. Interesting to note that Canadians were part of the fighting force in 1940 - so long before America entered the war.

Hope that answers any questions you have.
