I live in Midwest of the US. seems shopping mall still packed on weekend. Although I am pretty sure most of middle class people are getting squeezed pretty bad by high food and energy bill.

During the last recession, I checked out the malls, as usual, each holiday season and they were packed. But there were very few shopping bags until the the big markdowns on the two days before Christmas and, even them it was obvious that people were buying less.

How about the people here report on their local malls from time to the time over the next month?
