Appologies, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was just trying to say:

A barrel of Saudi crude, lends itself to a lot of cuts of it's final price along the way.

Comparatively, a barrel of oil from Athabasca or a barrel of deep sea oil come out of the ground already costing a lot, thus, I was concluing, the higher the price of the crude -out of the ground- the less the opportunity to get a cut of its final price.

Say Brazil wants royalties from PBR, it is not going to get much because that barrel cost a lot to be ready to export.
