I believe this has went to court and that Customers are not liable, the contractor is. Now if you are a homeowner and seek an Illegal in the state of Arizona to mow your lawn, then pay said illegal cash.... You are the employer/ contractor and can be arrested for employing illegals,Fed and state tax evasion, and possibly lose your place of residence.
