It may be shaky, but it's the only viable one we have so we'd better work at it.

And, IMO, the smartest approach to take to achieve it is to educate people that it is in their long term best interest. Self interest is a natural instinct. Fighting natural instincts is an uphill fight and if you can use natural instinct to produce an optimal result, that's the path to take.

Ergo, erroneously insisting on equating self interest and greed is non-constructive and unhelpful.
