Re: PermaBear's latest statement: I have said it before and I will say it again. I do not understand how people who have been so dead-wrong for so long can manage to:

1.) Maintain their position as frequently-quoted media darlings;

2.) Keep their jobs--for instance, if I was a broker at OpCo, I'd be pretty pissed off that after I pitch stocks to clients, a representative of my company was appearing on national tv telling my clients 50 different reasons why NOT to buy stocks--and THEN be wrong in his predictions.

On a separate, somewhat unrelated note, I just proposed a call-in radio show format to a local business radio station here in New Orleans. I've never "pitched" a show to a station before, so if anyone has any helpful tips on how to proceed, I sure would appreciate it. I envision a call-in show more geared to answering questions on individual stocks--probably a 50/50 split btwn stock and fund questions, with an occasional guest, such as a fund manager or analyst who would field questions. I've never hosted a show before, but I have been a guest on several radio and tv talk shows dealing with investments, and wrote a monthly column on stocks for a local magazine. So if anyone on this thread has ideas of how I could make this show proposition more attractive to the programming director, your input would be greatly appreciated.
