Sounds to me, like they juiced up the numbers for the thanksgiving holiday with all the buzz about midnight and 4 AM friday shopping, see what the first weekend or two in Dec look like.

Also the country overall had very cool, cold weather in many parts of it, that always boosts the mood of holiday shoppers and they can see a more demonstrable need for new winter clothes and gear.

But hey, I can not be all gloom and doom... long live the consumer and I am accepting all gifts and seasonal acts of kindness ;-)
