Ha, you just proposed a plan that strikes terror into the heart of every Arab leader. Israel would have big objections too, but they would be nothing compared to the distress of the Arab leaders, since they would have had all their ostensible demands met, and would have no excuse to refuse a plan that is so diametrically opposed to their desires. They would have to use the same demand that Arafat used at Camp David and Taba, "right of return," to scuttle the talks.

Don't you get it yet? What the Arabs demand is one thing, what they actually want is another. Back in the day when the demanded that Israel be wiped off the map, then their demands matched their desires. But they learned that such honesty was diplomatically costly, so they corrected their mistake.
