euros cant defend themselves against major threats now just as during cold war. US is the global cop and one of the areas we secured is europe.
We got stuck in iraq trying to make things better there and it cost an arm and a leg. Who pays? American taxpaper at the expense of our economy or guys like hinton over in europa. Actually no one paid for it and devalued dollar is making hinton pay for it. Only benefit for hinton is that he can buy is $1000 suit for a few euros at SAKS when he vacations here. Hell the war cost me my trip to visit hinton in tuscany. At 75 euros forgetabout it. For hinton its 150 dollar per euro and he is in 7th heaven. But the truth is most of the time hinton is in italy and that undervalued dollar problem will not work to the european advantage in the long term.
