Just got off the phone with yet another lady who can't believe that even after the bank takes her house, she's going to owe maybe $200K. On the way to work this morning, driving on the main street out of the subdivision, a "For Sale" sign that actually says "Short Sale." Buyers don't want short sales because the bank has to review the loan docs, but if they're willing to wait, they may get a good deal. Beside the point. Too close to home. Literally, less than a mile. Not as nice as mine but getting closer. Eeeek.
