"Pakistan needs some non-Muslim units." That's the one thing they would mostly all resist.... (How about --- as another idea --- perhaps... a popular Democracy? Honest elections? No more coup leaders trying to play both sides off against the middle? Sap the strength of the insurgency by actually having a popular Democratic government, not merely an on-the-make-suit playing the role of 'designated friendly Autocrat'? And no more US aid without benchmarks?)
