You have a point. However, their power will diminish substantially, when you have peace. As for the Maddrassas, they nothing but Islamic schools. They are like the Jewish schools that you once attended to learn Hebrew and the Torah. However, those maddrassas were hijacked by the likes of AQ. SA is obligated to fund these Maddrassas, like the wealthy Jews making donation to fund Jewish schools.
Just think, what would be the excuse for AQ to attack Israel or the US? If peace is established, NONE. Their fight is against foreign oppression of Arabs and Muslims. Take that away from them and they have nothing to hate Israel and the US. Remember that AQ is more of an ideology than a physical entity, what I am trying to say is AQ is like fire take away O2, heat or fuel and it dies off. A small number of people that subscribe it this ideology, and the people that do are oppressed or brainwashed. Their brainwashing techniques is mainly, "look what they are doing to us"
To recap: to get rid of AQ, 1) you need peace between Israelis and Palestinians, The regional peace will follow; 2) a change in US foreign policies which IMO, will come when peace is established. |
