Numbers I'm looking at for VLO look better than numbers for TSO which has fallen to $48/sh. That current TSO price is much lower than the $64/sh. Mr. Kerkorian was offering for 19.9% of TSO.

I understand there are big differences between refiners -the geographic spread, their products, their capital/maintenance/growth policies, etc, etc. And I realize I am only a buyer of the stock (of TSO and VLO among others), and I am no expert, nor claim any expertise in these businesses. Still, it seems to me if VLO is better than TSO (to me in the way I look at these stocks), even after TSO has fallen from $64 to $48, then I conclude VLO is still an undervalued situation.

Jmo of course, and I've been wrong many, many times.
