"Raising taxes on everyone making $100K or more by 12.5%" It's only half of that - employers pay the other half. Don't you think people that make more than 91k could easily afford to contribute 6.25% MORE to support the nation's elderly AND fix the SS "problem"? What a patriotic SERVICE to their country. And then THAT tax would be FLAT!
