I mean, was West German milk really better? Psychologically, it has been really tough for the East Germans as well. Here they were under the Soviet system with the best products in the soviet system and the most prosperous of the satellites. When the wall fell, they went from had of the class to dummkopf. It has really done a number on their heads. Add to that, W. Germans perceive them to be inferior from their grooming to the quality of their German to their accents.
