Appliance , Whirlpool in recycling deal
MINNEAPOLIS, Oct 9 (Reuter) - Appliance Recycling Centers of America Inc said Thursday it has entered into an agreement with Whirlpool Corp (WHR) to develop a program for handling damaged Whirlpool appliances.

Under the agreement Appliance Recycling will purchase damaged appliances from Whirlpool, recondition suitable units, and sell them through its network of Encore retail stores, Appliance Recyling said in a statement.

The agreement is expected to provide Encore with a significant new supply of appliances, Appliance Recycling president and chief executive officer Edward Cameron said.

Whirlpool is a manufacturer of major household appliances. Appliance Recycling is a recycler of major household appliances.
