I have noted a lack of civility in many people that I deal with. Maybe I am just irritating them more. Maybe that is a function of age. Maybe civilization is becoming less civilized.

I don't expect hugs and kisses from people, but avoiding calling people names and belittling them seems like a basic requirement of socialized behavior.

People who refer to respected individuals by insulting nicknames say more about themselves than they do about the party they were trying to insult.
