do we know it is only for visiting his mistress or that this is the only part the press wants to question? perhaps this is the only expense during the period for him being out of nyc and required expense coding. while in nyc police didn't book hotel rooms perhaps nyc has a fleet of rooms at all times and use the same rooms. ( the company i worked for in nyc had at least 50 hotel rooms booked year round. all expenses at the hotel went directly back to the company and didn't require an expense account be submitted.)

i know in my work experience it would be three weeks on average to get reimbursed for travel expenses. It usually went through several people for recording, approvals, and processing. some departments processed check writing only twice a week so you could at times improve the three week average or it could go to four weeks.

Almost everyone would take travel advances inorder to cover their bills.

It sounds like some of the these have zero work experience.

note fox news on another post states " It’s accounting for travel the mayor did to the Hamptons and other places." so the press did only identify Hamptons and not that this was a practice for other trips.
