Also AA isn't just applied against whites, or just in favor of people who where victims of past discrimination. Should a recent immigrant get beneficial treatment over another recent immigrant because of his skin color? Should the decedents of Chinese coolie labor, who's ancestors certainly faced severe discrimination, be put at a disadvantage as a matter of formal policy? When does it end?

It is our heritage.

We are not responsible for the sins of our ancestors.
