You know what HOV means don't you - "high occupancy vehicle" - carpooling has nothing to do with it. I used those lanes all the time on my bike - which is a HOV with just ME on it! I'd rip down the HOV lane at 80-90, occasionally bouncing out to pass some idiot doing the speed limit. You could do the same Ten. It's more fun than skiing, just going to work every day!

Not only that, when ALL the lanes are clogged, you can split lanes in that extra-wide space between the HOV lane and the "fast" lane.

It's really the ONLY way to get around SoCal. One contract job I commuted from Oceanside through all of Orange county to Brea - 66 miles one way - in less than an hour, for six months.
