I've bought some WM. Really a flyer as they may have problems for years... I certainly don't know how bad the mortgage thing is going to get. But if they can maintain their dividend you are looking at 12+% on dollars invested today. Almost anything in alt energy is going to do great in the short term.... one easy way to play that is GEX (I have a lot). International which helps against the dollar decline. Alt energy is the 'new Internet' in the early 90's. And the eventual shakeout will probably be as bad as March 2000 was for Internet stocks. But in the meantime... 'to the moon Alice'.
