Well... that is not actually a quote of his (I don't think), but yes, I believe it approximates his argument.
It's a little inaccurate around the edges, though:
Re: "business" (He actually says we should 'have business' relations EVERYWHERE... with friends, neutrals, and enemies. So, he doesn't mean 'no business', he means 'no reason to try to tell other people how to live, or spend TRILLIONS on propping-up a military Empire....)
That includes, of course, giving Billions and Billions in 'aid', as well as - certainly - interfering in the free development of other societies by doing such stuff as trying to prop-up 'pet' Dictators and Autocrats to rule over them, etc.
But that is different from 'no business'. |
