In what remaining ways can Wall Street lie to potential investors? Brokerage firm stock buy recommendations? Busted long ago. Analyst upgrades? Busted along with buy recommendations. Downgrades? Busted long ago. CDOs? Busted. SIVs? Busted. Cash sweeps. Busted as 'safe' by Mish. AAA ratings. Busted. Is this a problem of working so close to the Brooklyn Bridge, and all learning to sell it to tourists on initiation day or something? Are used car salesman just flunkies from Wall Street? Or is it the other way around? Snake oil salesman from the 19th century? The rats who successfully fled the sinking ships in the 18th century? Truly appalling every way I look at it.
